What is "ISAW"?

Invasive Species Awareness Week (ISAW) is a collaborative initiative that focuses on starting a conversation with citizens and organizations about invasive species through social media. In 2016, the campaign was so successful that #InvSpWk was trending on Twitter – and that is our goal again for this year!

This campaign is inspired by National Invasive Species Awareness Week in the United States and we share the dates they select to run their campaign.

This year, ISAW will take place February 25 – March 1, 2019 using the hashtag #InvSpWk.

How can I participate?

Getting involved with the campaign is easy – join the conversation! Head over to your favourite social media platform and:

  1. Search #InvSpWk to interact with posts by participating organizations

  2. Add your own content to the conversation using the hashtag #InvSpWk

If you would like to formally participate in ISAW 2019, you can find the tool kit and other resources here
